Maryland Funding Sources
Lifeway Mobility works with a multitude of Maryland local funding sources and we would like to share some of those organizations and options with you. Below is a list of resources that may be able to provide financial assistance if you're in need of stair lift, wheelchair ramp, or other accessibility solutions. Accessible Homes for Seniors
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development offers a program for accessibility related improvements to the homes of seniors. Some of the improvements include, but are not limited to the following, installation of grab bars and railings, widening of doorways and installation of ramps. These types of home modifications and improvements can be the the solution for safely using a staircase, or navigating around the home so that older adults can remain independent at home.
The program provides zero percent interest, deferred loans for a term of 30 years or grants to finance accessibility improvements.

Maryland Access Point (MAP)
The Maryland Department of Aging works to ensure older adults across the state have access to services that will allow them live healthy, safe, and independent lives as they age. Local aging programs, which are known as the Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), assist and support older adults, family caregivers, and adults with disabilities. The AAAs are the lead agency for Maryland Access Point (MAP) and will help you gain access to the many available services in your area. You can find MAP located within each AAA and, in some areas, at local senior centers.

Assistive Technology Guaranteed Loan Program
The Maryland AT financial loan program assists those living with disabilities and their families qualify for low-interest loans so that they can purchase equipment that can improve their quality of life and allow them to live and work more independently. Anyone that intends to use a loan to buy assistive technology for a Maryland resident living with a disability can apply. The dollar amount of loans that can be borrowed ranges between $500-$50,000.
